Rio Celeste is a mesmerizing natural wonder located within the Tenorio National Park in Costa Rica. Rio Celeste gets its name, which translates to "Celestial River," from the enchanting phenomenon that occurs within its waters. Legend has it that when God finished painting the sky, he dipped his brush in the river, turning its waters into a mesmerizing shade of blue. The vibrant turquoise color of the river is due to a unique combination of minerals and the reflection of sunlight, creating a truly magical sight.
