Lake Arenal, lying adjacent to the Arenal Volcano in the Northern Lowlands of Costa Rica, is the country’s most spectacular lake. With the magnificent Arenal Volcano to the east and rolling hills and forested slopes all around, the scenery couldn’t be better. Hop on a pedal board to explore the lake at the foot of the Arenal Volcano. Pedal boards are easy for travelers of all ages and athletic abilities, and are not to be confused with stand-up paddle-boarding — pedalboards allow you to hang onto a handlebar and maneuver the boat with just your legs.
During the tour, you’ll have the chance to jump off the paddleboard and go for a swim. You’ll also pause at some of the small islands in the lake and at some point you’ll take a break for a snack of tropical fruit.
Please Note: Since this is an activity taking place in the rainforest, there is a possibility that it could rain at any time of year. We operate the tour rain or shine, unless weather conditions are extreme. If for any reason we have to cancel the tour, you will receive a 100% refund.
Children’s Policy: Minimum age is 4 years old. Children between 4 and 8 years old pay an additional $23 and must be accompanied by an adult on the same board.
